Yes, you can pay for your rental and all extras using your debit card. However, when using a debit card the security deposit amount is actually taken from the card, whereas a credit card payment method allows us to only secure funds.

If you have booked on-line, the rental amount will be taken from your debit /credit card at the time of booking and the security deposit will be debited/secured from your debit/credit card when you collect your rental vehicle. For non-online bookings, the security deposit and rental charges will be required at time of collection. We accept all major credit and debit cards, at this time we do not accept American Express. We also do not accept payment by cash or cheque.

Yes, you may check the rates online and also check vehicle availability.

Your total rental rate is calculated, based on the information provided at time of booking. It will be based on the length of booking, the age of the driver, the type of vehicle booked and any extras selected. The rate will be based on using our comprehensive insurance with our standard excess, unless you have selected the CDW option to reduce the insurance excess liability. Please note that our 'From' rates are based on a 7 day hiring period and are subject to change.

There will be a security deposit taken in addition to the total rental costs. If booking online, we take the rental charges only and then take a security deposit in the rental location on collection of the vehicle. Please speak with the Rental Manager to confirm the security deposit amount.
When paying for your rental, the amount will be taken in full and then refunded when the vehicle is returned. This process is linear across all card types.
Please note you will still be liable for the excess, should there be any additional charges on the return of the vehicle. These can be found on our Insurance page.

If you make a reservation that has a rental period of more than one day, and that rental period begins more than 24 hours following the making of the reservation, you will be offered the option to pay the vehicle rental charge and any optional services or products selected at the point of reservation in instalments (“Pay Later”).
If you decide to use Pay Later, you will be required to pay an amount equivalent to one day’s vehicle rental charge at the point of making the reservation. The remaining balance of the vehicle rental charge and any optional services or products selected at the point of reservation must be paid in full, before your rental is due to start.
You can pay the remaining balance in as many instalments as you see necessary. Except in the event that any instalments are required to be paid on the day the rental starts (such instalment to be paid directly to the Volkswagen Financial Services I Rent-a-Car location detailed on the reservation confirmation email on pick-up of the vehicle), all instalments must be paid using the website. You will need to log into your account using the email address you used to make the reservation and your booking reference number. The payment card used to pay an instalment must be in your name and you will be required to confirm the billing address for that card.
You will not receive a receipt from us for each instalment made however your account we record the instalments made and (if relevant) the remaining balance.
If we do not receive full payment of the vehicle rental charge and any optional services or products selected at the point of reservation before your rental is due to start, we will have no option but to cancel your reservation and we will retain all monies previously paid by you.
